Tané have just spent another two days working on tracks for the new CD

Peter Lane has rejoined the band and his efforts on bass were much appreciated in the studio

Jo Savins has returned to augment the vocal and keyboard areas of the band and it was very enjoyable to have her back working again

Our drummer Phil Ashworth had the misfortune of having a cement truck hit his car while enjoying a visit to a family gathering. Luckily the truck was not travelling very fast when it hit his car but Phil was badly knocked about and will take a number of months to fully recover

Phil is making a strong recovery and should be back playing his drum kit by the end of the month

Tané have reached 31,000 downloads on download.com making the band the 4th highest download of all the music in the Celtic/British Isles category. I am pleased that download.com allows streaming of music from their site meaning many of these downloads of our music are happening after the music has been auditioned

We have had a bit of bad luck with one of our hard drives giving up the ghost. Not all of the Wave files have been affected but it will be a few days before we can ascertain how much of our overdubs were lost. At the very worst we have lost a few weeks work. I have backed up most of the files on my external drive but I was lazy for the last few weeks. Live and learn they say.

Well we are are back in action with a new computer and it is now full steam ahead to get this new CD mixed. .. I hope everyone has had a great holiday and is looking forward to the year ahead.
